If a driver is on their way to pick up a passenger or actively transporting a rider, Uber and Lyft offer their most extensive coverage, with up to $1 million in third-party liability coverage. This typically covers medical expenses, lost income, and other damages caused by the accident. Additionally, they provide uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, which can be critical if the other driver is uninsured.
