Third-Party Claims: If a third party — contractor, equipment manufacturer, property owner — caused or contributed to your injury, a separate personal injury lawsuit is available. Tennessee's 1-year personal injury SOL (§ 28-3-104) applies to these claims.
Retaliation Prohibited: Tennessee law prohibits employer retaliation for filing a workers compensation claim (Tenn. Code Ann. § 50-1-801.).
