[OLIVE BRANCH, MS] — TopDog Law, the nation's fastest-growing personal injury law firm, today announced the appointment of Mississippi native Allen Gressett as Senior Trial Attorney. Gressett joins Managing Attorney Blake Swan to lead the firm's Mississippi operations.
Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, Gressett joins TopDog Law from Schwed Law Firm, PA, where he was a partner and led their Tennessee operation. He has practiced law for 16 years and has tried dozens of cases before a jury.
"TopDog Law has a client-centered culture and vision for growth unmatched in the industry, and I could not pass up the opportunity to join the firm," Gressett said. "I am dedicated to fighting for the state that made me who I am, and it is an honor to be of service to its people."
In 2023, Mississippi recorded 737 traffic fatalities and 3,205 serious injuries, according to the state's Highway Safety Improvement Program report. The firm's Mississippi team will handle motor vehicle collision, premises liability, and semi-truck cases across the state's 82 counties.
"We're incredibly excited to welcome Allen to TopDog Law," said James Helm, Founder and CEO of TopDog Law. "His courtroom experience and deep Mississippi roots will be a tremendous benefit to our clients as we continue to grow not only in Mississippi, but throughout the country."
Gressett's path to the courtroom began as an intern at the Hinds County Public Defender's Office and at a firm in Madison, where he assisted with trials. Gressett is licensed in Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and Kentucky. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law. Outside the courtroom, he has served as a Cub Scout den leader for four years, plays drums in his church's worship band, and is in his eighth season coaching youth recreational soccer.
Managing Attorney Blake Swan has 16 years of experience representing seriously injured people across the southeast. Blake earned his B.S. in International Business from Roger Williams University before going on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America. He is licensed to practice in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia and Arizona.
