We strive to chance perception through our daily encounters with our clients and the community.

Core Values

Core values support the vision and shape the culture of any organization. We admit the values below are listed to educate you – yes you who is reading our website right now – about our law firm.

More importantly, however, these core values are recorded, distributed amongst our team, and recited at internal meetings weekly to remind us of our purpose & help us better serve the Pennsylvania communities we care about.

Core Value #1: Advocate for Our Clients as We Would Advocate for Our Children

This is our single most important core value. When it is late at night and every part of our being wants to go to bed, do we re-read the expert’s findings one more time? We would if our child’s life depended on it.

Do we go above and beyond preparing to argue a motion before a Judge that we know is unlikely to succeed? We would if our child was in that accident.

When our first argument fails, do we get creative and think outside-the-box to come up with a new theory of liability? We would if our child needed that money to cover her medical expenses.

THIS is the level of effort, detail, and brainpower we put towards every last one of our cases we choose to take.

Core Value #2: Don’t Leave a Penny on the Table

Our team is trained as thoroughly on negotiation tactics as they are the law. Put bluntly, we never split the difference.

The beauty – insurance companies are starting to catch-on. Not only will we push them for every penny in a settlement offer, but we are confident in our ability to go to trial and push the jury to award maximum compensation.

Core Value #3: Make a Difference Beyond the Courtroom

Every single person who works here does this kind of work because they believe it is fulfilling. Hardworking, good people who have been in an accident due to someone else’s negligence are not responsible for what happened. Due to something completely out of their control, injured people and their families are put in a really scary place, financially and otherwise. It is completely understandable that this experience would cause them to question God and the world.

That is why for us, taking someone’s case isn’t just an opportunity to take them to court and fix their legal wrong, it is an opportunity to impact their life. Nothing makes us prouder than seeing the light return to our clients eyes after justice has been served.

Core Value #4: Work Smarter AND Harder

At other personal injury firms in Philadelphia, you can work long, hard, or smart. At TopDog Law, you cannot just choose two out of the three.

It is clear to our lawyers and staff from Day 1 that it is not easy to work here. This organization strives to set a new standard for personal injury law firms in Pennsylvania and the service we provide.

Core Value #5: Constant Communication with Our Clients

Let’s call a spade a spade here: the legal process can be SLOW. And while it is frustrating to our attorneys, our client’s lives are literally depending on the outcome.

That is why at TopDog Law, we understand why our clients want consistent status updates on their case. We will let other firms ignore calls and lose the faith of their clients as a direct result. Here, we pride ourselves on combining our people skills with automation technology to keep our clients in the loop every step of the way.

Core Value #6: Have a Positive Impact on the Community

We care about Pennsylvania and want to contribute to where we call home. Whether it is donating our time or money, TopDog Law is committed to our community.

For the remainder of the Opioid Epidemic, we have pledged 10% of net profits to aid innovative nonprofit organizations in preventing opioid and heroin overdose in Pennsylvania.

Have an organization you are passionate about in Pennsylvania? Contact us. We would love to see how we can help.

Core Value #7: Point People in the Right Direction

Ego is the enemy. We will not let our pride or wallet prevent us from getting your case to the lawyer who has the time and specialized skillset to get you the best result possible.

We have built a network of attorneys in Pennsylvania and across the country that we know and trust to work with on our cases. If you have been in a serious personal injury case in Pennsylvania or another state, share your story with us. We will help you or find someone to help you.

Core Value #8: Re-Write the Stigma

Stigma is defined as a set of negative beliefs that a group or society holds about a topic or group of people. The stigma about personal injury lawyers is that they are a group of ambulance chasing, money-hungry scumbags looking to capitalize on tragedy for their own personal gain.

Talk is cheap & actions speak louder than words. At TopDog Law, we strive to change perception through our daily encounters with our clients and the community.

Do we want to create a financially successful business for ourselves, our families, and our future? Absolutely.

Do we want to get our clients some of the biggest verdicts Pennsylvania has ever seen? You bet.

But at the end of the day, we are here to make a positive impact on our communities. Period. Helping people is the primary objective. That can never get lost in our desire to grow.

Outside of the legal profession, we will advocate tirelessly to change another sort of stigma. The stigma about people who suffer from substance use disorder. In 2018, a ton of progress was made, but there are still many who believe the stigma – people who suffer from substance use disorder are junkie, crackhead, drug addicts that should be shamed for not controlling their immoral behavior.

Our mission is to bring awareness to some of the AMAZING things that people in long-term recovery are doing and to advocate for legislative measures that reduce harm for those still struggling with addiction.
