A native of Albany, Georgia, Ben Haggerty became a lawyer to fight for hardworking people in the community where he was raised. Now an attorney with Top Dog Law, LLC, Ben brings a relentless small-town work ethic to a national powerhouse firm—combining personal accountability with the resources and reach needed to take on major insurance companies. Born and raised in Albany, Ben earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Valdosta State University in 2013 and his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in 2017. He is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the Dougherty Judicial Circuit Bar Association. In 2019, he was recognized as one of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40.

Ben began his legal career at a local law firm where he handled a wide range of matters, including insurance defense and general defense litigation. That experience gave him an inside look at how insurance carriers evaluate, defend, and attempt to minimize injury claims. After gaining early experience in insurance defense and general defense litigation, Ben made a deliberate decision to focus his practice on personal injury and workers’ compensation at a local plaintiff’s firm, where he spent years sharpening his skills and handling cases from intake through resolution. That hands-on experience allowed him to master the fundamentals—case strategy, client advocacy, and insurer negotiation—while developing a reputation for preparation and results. Combined with his background in defense work, Ben brings a rare, full-spectrum perspective to every case. Today, he uses that knowledge to stay one step ahead—anticipating defense tactics, cutting through delay strategies, and aggressively pursuing full compensation for his clients.

Ben is driven by the belief that injured individuals deserve a strong, unyielding advocate when they are at their most vulnerable.
